Shares of Britannia Industries rose nearly 5% on Wednesday after the company reported a 17% year-on-year rise in its consolidated net profit for the third quarter of FY26. The stock touched an intraday high of ₹6,156 on the NSE before trading 3.59% higher at ₹6,084.50 around mid-morning.
The biscuit maker posted a net profit of ₹682.14 crore for the December quarter, compared to ₹582.3 crore in the same period last year. The company said strong demand across biscuits and adjacent categories supported the growth.
Revenue from operations increased 8.21% year-on-year to ₹4,969.82 crore, up from ₹4,592.62 crore a year ago. Sales for the quarter rose 9.5% to ₹4,885.23 crore, compared to ₹4,463.30 crore in Q3FY25.
Managing Director and CEO Rakshit Hargave said the company returned to healthy growth, supported by stable commodity prices and steady demand. He noted that the biscuit industry is stabilizing after GST rate changes and said Britannia’s business grew around 12% in November and December.
The company credited its performance to higher media spending, stronger brand visibility, and new product launches such as the 50-50 Dipped range, ‘Veg’ cake variant, and ‘Doodh’ Marie Gold.
Britannia’s stock has gained 3% in the past week and over 1% in the last month. It hit a 52-week high of ₹6,336 in September 2025 and a low of ₹4,506 in March 2025. As of February 11, 2026, the company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹1.47 lakh crore.
