Determined to spare others this struggle, he launched a mission to provide free workshops and stage performances to interested students in rural schools and colleges. By bringing music and drama directly to rural communities, he has “provided music, drama workshops and stage performances” to those who would otherwise be deprived. This is a powerful act of service. While serving as the President of the Student Union, he organized massive cultural programs like “Dhadkan,” “Yuva Maha Utsav,” and “Millennium Youth Festival,” which served as launchpads for thousands of young talents. This philosophy of empowerment culminated in the founding of “Shubh Vichar Sanstha” (Auspicious Thoughts Organization). In 2025, his work was acknowledged on a national scale when he received the “Best Cultural Worker” award from the Government of Goa, an honor presented by the Governor himself. He has also been twice recognized by one of the living legends of Indian music, Padma Bhushan Grammy winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. In both 2023 and 2025, Jeetendra received the “Pandit Manmohan Bhatt Smriti Award,” an honor given to a music personality for “outstanding contribution in the 20-year journey of music, drama, and literature.”
His impact has resonated with giants of the film and theatre world as well. The renowned actor Tusshar Kapoor presented him with the “Global Award” and the “Icon Actor and Director Theatre Award” in 2025, a powerful recognition of his influence on the stage and beyond. Furthermore, his alma mater, Rajasthan University, honored his legacy on the 50th anniversary of its Music Department. Jeetendra Sharma believes that service can be done through thoughts, change can come through thoughts, and social service can be done without money. On this thought and principle, the world’s first NGO, Shubh Vichar Sanstha, was created. There are so many NGOs in the world. But every NGO works with money transactions. These can be fraught with corruption. “But I believe that NGOs can provide work and service without paying any money.” For example, you provided food and clothes to the elderly at an old-age home. “This social service was done, but I believe that we should give such thoughts and training to our young generation that they never send their parents to old age homes.” This work can be done by sharing your ideas in conversations, social posts, etc. If someone understands your idea and improves it, then not just one but many people can get food from your idea. This idea brought about both service and transformation, without any financial investment. This principle and such a good idea will be the first NGO in the world.

- Jeetendra Sharma won the Asia Excellence Awards 2025 and received the trophy from Bollywood superstar and MP Jaya Prada.
- Jaipur’s Jeetendra Sharma became India 2025, thanks to his message of drug de-addiction. Fitness model Jaishan Shah crowned him Mr. India, having previously modeled for Dino Morea and John Abraham.
- Jaipur, 7 September 2025. Jeetendra Sharma, a young theatre and cultural activist from the capital Jaipur, won the title of Mr Bharat-2025 in the grand finale held at the five-star hotel Crown Plaza in Delhi-Gurgaon. In the finale of this prestigious LIT modelling competition, British actor and fitness model Jaishan Shah (film Heeramandi fame) honoured him by crowning him Mr. India.
- Jeetendra Sharma won the title after a tough competition from over 500 contestants from across the country. The finale consisted of four rounds: ramp walk, ethnic wear, western wear, and talent round. Jeetendra presented his social concerns during the ramp walk, showcased the colours of Jaipur’s rural culture in ethnic wear, and impressed the jury with his western look.
- He got the most recognition in the talent round, where he gave a unique performance by tying medical white bandages all over his body to give the message of “Drug Free India”. Responding to the jury’s question in the final round—“Which is more important, physical strength or emotional strength?”—he said, “Everything can be achieved through emotional strength, so that is the most important.
- His message and answers impressed the judges, and he was declared the winner. Winning the title of Mr. India 2025 also earned Jeetendra modeling contracts worth up to ₹1 million.
- After becoming the winner, an emotional Jeetendra said, “Mr. India is special for me because its motto is ‘Break Free from Addiction’. “For a long time, I have been giving messages on drug de-addiction and social awareness through my plays, and now this platform will also be an opportunity to work in the same direction,” says Jeetendra Sharma.
- It is noteworthy that Jeetendra Sharma, who belongs to a farming family of Malwa village (Jaipur), was also selected in the top 30 of Grasim Mr. India a decade ago. During that period, he walked the ramp with stars like Dino Morea and John Abraham. He holds a Master’s degree in Classical Music from Rajasthan University and also holds higher education in Kathak, Tabla, and Drama.
