Background

Saudi headquartered conglomerate ERAM Holdings has placed Alok Kumar at the helm of ERAM HCM India as Chief Executive Officer, giving him oversight of the group’s human capital management operations in the country.

Kumar carries a track record spanning more than 25 years in staffing, workforce management, executive search, skilling and international talent mobility.

Kumar previously headed NSDC International as CEO, operating under India’s Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, where he worked toward establishing India as a reliable source of global talent, setting up cross-border mobility frameworks and building ties across Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

The leadership change coincides with ERAM’s push to scale its HCM operations across India and beyond, with plans for a tech-driven, unified platform covering staffing, executive search, talent mobility, recruitment process outsourcing, HR consulting, payroll and talent advisory work. Kumar takes on responsibility for growing the division both at home and abroad, building global talent alliances and developing fresh workforce solutions.

ERAM Holdings COO Madhu Krishnan pointed to Kumar’s leadership background and command of the workforce management space as reasons he fits the HCM mandate, noting his international talent mobility exposure would help cement ERAM’s footprint across Indian and global markets.

Kumar framed human capital as an increasingly central force behind economic growth worldwide, and said ERAM stood in a strong position to link talent, employers and opportunity across different regions.

Established in the early 1990s, ERAM Holdings runs operations spanning the Middle East, India, Europe, Africa, Southeast Asia and North America, with interests in oil and gas, engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, IT, education, travel and human capital solutions.
