The Education View magazine, one of the world’s rapidly growing education journals, is pleased to present Mike Ross, Founder and Executive Director, at Future Forward Education working towards redefining the school experience for the student and the family. His conviction is in whole-family, holistic thinking with the knowledge that actual improvement in education begins with creating the support systems around the student. He creates creative solutions to bridge gaps in resource availability by creating effective partnerships that aim to empower students and communities.
He uses his analytical mind and balances obstacles from all possible directions to make all his choices based on ensuring long-term impact and sustainability. Mike’s vision: empower all students to be their best, providing them with tools and guides that could make them leaders in a changing world to drive positive change in it. Through continuous monitoring of the students’ performance and continuous improvement, Mike strives towards ensuring this vision is achieved by all the students he works with.
Mike’s love for design and technology never wavered throughout the years, but a growing fascination with education started when he moved from the East Coast to the West Coast. He relocated from New England to Los Angeles around 2010 and devoted the early years to school as well as acclimating to the trendy Los Angeles hotspots such as the Santa Monica Pier and Hollywood Strip. As Mike settled into the city, he became aware of neighborhoods that were relevant to their problems, including hardship, poverty, crime and other problems. Mike realized that in order to bring about a change and address the problems he had seen, he would need to be louder and more vocally involved in figuring out solutions.
It was during this period that he realized he needed to build his vehicle of driving change. It was the beginning of his ride into the education industry, one where he would find himself working towards building the solutions he had ever imagined for the poor communities. He also has an extensive role to play in describing the ever-changing nature of the education industry. He is cognizant of the importance of staying connected to the changing needs of the system in such a way that the organization shall still be capable of developing suitable and beneficial solutions. By virtue of instilling adaptability through the use of words and actions, he is able to maintain the organization on track and in command of a winning business plan so that it can continue to be successful through long-term achievement.
