Background

Airtel Business, the enterprise arm of Bharti Airtel, has launched Airtel IQ Gateway, an omnichannel platform that brings customer communication channels onto one control plane and adds network-level fraud protection.

The gateway combines SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, voice and number verification through silent authentication. Enterprises can now run all these channels from a single control center instead of working with separate vendors.

The company said the platform tackles the challenges of managing communication stacks spread across several providers and tools. It gives enterprises clear visibility into real message delivery, curbs bot-driven international OTP pumping that inflates bills, and simplifies pre-approved template management.

Airtel IQ Gateway also offers automatic DLT template integration, automatic switching to backup providers and intelligent routing across SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and voice.

It uses Airtel’s network intelligence and trust layers, including IQ Verify and Silent Authentication for SIM-based login, to spot fake account creations, account takeovers and artificial traffic spikes. The platform also complies with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act.

Airtel Business CEO Sharat Sinha said trust must anchor every digital interaction as India builds a safe, inclusive digital economy. He said embedding trust at the network layer helps banks, government departments and logistics firms cut cybercrime losses and strengthen customer confidence.

Sinha added that the fraud prevention uses the same technologies that protect Airtel’s own mobile and digital customers. The company tested the solution with select banks, financial institutions and other businesses before the nationwide rollout.
