Background :
Hero MotoCorp has been rolling out its VIDA Electric Vehicle (e-Voicer) range in Nepal with the launch of the VIDA VX2 EVOOTER series and the VIDA DIRT.E K3. The launch is a testament to VIDA’s entry into the international market by signing a deal with the distributor, CG Motors of the Chaudhary group in Nepal.
The VIDA VX2 EVOOTER Series is made up of the VX2 Plus and VX2 Go models. The VX2 Plus is powered by two 2.2 kWh batteries that offer up to 140 km range, a maximum speed of 90 km/h and charging from 0-80 per cent in 65 minutes. The VX2 Go is powered by a single removable 2.2 kWh battery, has a range of 75 km, a maximum speed of 70 km/h, and the same charging time. Both models have the ability to be charged via the standard 5A charging socket, and include navigation, geo-fencing, over-the-air updates and call and SMS alerts via the My VIDA app.
The VIDA DIRT. The E K3 is designed for younger riders with three adjustable sizes, riding modes, a 350W motor, and the 360Wh battery is removable, allowing for easy replacement or recharging. The ride time is up to three hours, depending on riding conditions, the company said. It is also the winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2025 and the CES Innovation Award 2026.
As per Nirvana Chaudhary, CEO of Hero MotoCorp, this launch has brought about more collaboration between the Chaudhary Group and Hero MotoCorp and symbolises the progressive shift towards sustainability in Nepal. This is a new milestone in the path of Hero MotoCorp towards becoming a sustainable solution in electric mobility in Nepal, said the company.
