Background
The University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, consistently ranked among the world’s top institutions for leadership and management education, has partnered with XED to launch the Darden CEO Leadership Program. It was announced during an executive forum at Mumbai attended by top leaders and decision-makers of the Indian corporate sector.
The launch is timed when business leaders are becoming more uncertain due to geopolitical changes, accelerating technological discontinuity, and changing stakeholder needs. The program is structured to equip CEOs and top managers with both foresight and flexibility in managing organizations in times of volatility and enabling them to experience sustainable growth.
The curriculum will consist of 12 interactive sessions with Darden faculty and 4 with leaders in the global industry to provide varying cross-sector perspectives. The other aspect that is significant is its innovative workout pedagogy, which becomes a simulation of decision-making in the real world and puts leadership to the test. The applied learning format trains people to use insights to direct them to live organizational challenges.
According to Devin Bigoness, Chief Client Officer of the Darden School of Business, the partnership with XED to launch the CEO Leadership Program worldwide is part of the school’s broader mission to cultivate responsible leaders through transformational learning.
John Kallelil, Founder and CEO of XED, commented: This is not just another executive education program that teaches how to manage disruption, lead with resilience, and create long-term value.
The initiative is targeted at current CEOs and seasoned executives preparing for top leadership roles. With Darden’s global reputation for teaching excellence and XED’s track record of developing senior leaders, the program aims to create a new standard for executive education.
