Four stocks saw block deals worth over Rs 2,000 crore on Tuesday, with Ajanta Pharma, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, Capital Small Finance Bank and BlueStone Jewellery all seeing large transactions during the block deal window.
While BlueStone shares fell sharply, the other three stocks posted gains on the day. Ajanta Pharma saw the biggest deal by value. Shares worth nearly Rs 1,024 crore changed hands at Rs 2,968 apiece, covering close to 2.8% of the company’s total equity.
Mutual funds hold a significant chunk of the stock, with UTI Flexi Cap Fund at 3.19% and Nippon India Small Cap Fund at 2.84% among the top holders. Promoters held 66.25% as of the March 2026 quarter. The buyers and sellers in the deal were not known.
36 lakh shares of Emcure Pharmaceuticals changed hands at an average price of Rs 1,700 apiece, with the total transaction coming in at Rs 612 crore. The shares account for about 1.9% of the company’s outstanding equity. On the ownership side, promoters hold a 77.87% stake, while BC Investments IV Ltd and Nippon India Multi Cap Fund figure among the key public shareholders.
Capital Small Finance Bank shares worth Rs 37 crore changed hands, with 13.62 lakh shares trading at Rs 270 each. The deal accounted for roughly 3% of the bank’s equity.
Promoters hold just 18.01%, while institutional investors such as Oman India Joint Investment Fund II and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance are among the bigger public shareholders.
BlueStone Jewellery recorded the highest volume, with 67.6 lakh shares, or about 4.4% of its equity, trading at Rs 527 apiece for a total of around Rs 356 crore. The stock fell 5.2% on the day. Promoters hold only 16.27%, while Accel India III and SBI Life Insurance are key investors.
